Dil Raju

Income tax officials launched raids on numerous production businesses, including Mythri Movie Makers and Sri Venkateswara Creations, which finished yesterday (Jan 24, 2025). Dil Raju, the owner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, finally met with the media today to clarify what happened during the raids and refute several rumors.

“That the news that IT officials discovered significant quantities of cash at our residences and businesses is completely false. These types of raids are typical across all firms,” Dil Raju said.

“IT investigators discovered Rs 5 lakhs in cash at my premises, Rs 4.5 lakhs with Sirish, Rs 6.5 lakhs at my daughter’s home, and Rs 2.5 lakhs in our offices. All of this money was inside the limits prescribed by laws and have document proof,” he added.

“We explained to IT officials how money transactions occur throughout movie production. Today, we conduct 90 percent of transactions and ticket sales online. Everything goes into the accounts,” he stated.

Dil Raju further clarified that he has not purchased any properties in the last five years, nor have they invested in any other businesses. All of the reports that emerged on television channels were absolutely incorrect and fabricated.

When asked about the tendency of producers publishing posters with exaggerated collections and fake numbers, which invariably attracts the Income Tax Department, he stated that all producers should sit down and discuss it before taking action.
