Putting an end to speculations, the makers of the Telugu remake of Bollywood hit, Andhadhun, today announced the casting details. Tamannaah Bhatia would reprise the role played by Tabu in the original thriller that has Nithin in the lead role.
Ramya Krishna, Nadia, Anasuya, and other actresses were approached for this role but finally, the makers have signed Tamannaah.
Tabu’s role in ‘Andhadhun’ was crucial to the story. The negative character requires an actress who can ooze sexiness and the menace. Tamannah agreeing to this role comes as a huge surprise.
Nabha Natesh will reprise Radhika Apte in this Telugu remake being directed by Merlapaka Gandhi.
N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy are producing the movie on the Sreshth Movies banner and it will start rolling in November. Mahati Sagar provides the music.
Andhadhun, directed by Sriram Raghavan, won critical acclaim. It was also a money-spinner at the box-office. A thriller with a vague ending and many twists, it was hailed as one of the best movies in the recent movies.
