Jai HanuMan launch

After announcing multiple projects under his so-called cinematic “universe” and appearing to dwell in ambitious plans, director Prasanth Varma seems to have refocused on what worked best for him: the world of “HanuMan.” Two years after the blockbuster’s release, he has officially launched the sequel “Jai Hanuman.”

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series, the film features “Kantara” fame Rishab Shetty in the lead role. He will be seen portraying Lord Hanuman.

“Jai Hanuman” was formally launched in a traditional ceremony at Anjanadri Betta in Hampi, Vijayanagara, a place widely believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The muhurtham event was attended by several prominent industry figures. Bhushan Kumar sounded the clapboard, while Anil Thadani switched on the camera for the inaugural shot. Actor Teja Sajja directed the first shot ceremonially.

“Jai Hanuman” is conceived as a large-scale action spectacle set in Kaliyuga, blending devotion, strength, and righteousness with contemporary cinematic techniques.

The technical team includes Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani handling the music, cinematographer S. Thirunavukkarasu overseeing the visuals, and production designer Srinagendra Thangala shaping the film’s grand aesthetic.
