‘Jailer 2’ is set to begin and Balakrishna is yet to confirm
The highly anticipated sequel to “Jailer” is set to commence filming in Chennai next week. Superstar Rajinikanth will reprise his role as Muthu Pandian. He is currently filming for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s “Coolie,” but he will start working on “Jailer 2” from next week.
Rumors suggest that Dr. Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal, who made cameos in “Jailer,” will return to “Jailer 2,” but there is no confirmation about the addition of Nandamuri Baakrishna. There have been speculations that given Balakrishna and Rajinikanth’s long friendship and Nelson being a favorite of Balakrishna’s mass action, the actor might join the cast of “Jailer 2.” But there is no official confirmation yet.
In January, the teaser for “Jailer 2” debuted, indicating a more ambitious approach to the sequel.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the sequel is already one of the most awaited films of the year.
