Jailer 2 will release in June 2026: Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth recently appeared in “Coolie,” which grossed over Rs 500 crore worldwide. He has now shifted focus to filming the much-anticipated “Jailer 2,” the sequel to his 2023 blockbuster.

After wrapping up shooting in Kerala, Rajinikanth arrived in Chennai today and spoke to the media at the airport. He confirmed the release date of “Jailer 2,” stating that the film will hit theaters on June 12, 2026.

“Jailer 2” sees him reprise the role of retired police officer Muthuvel. Director Nelson Dilip Kumar had concluded the story of “Jailer” with Rajinikanth’s character capturing his son, who was later killed by police officers. Ramya Krishnan played the role of his wife. Tamannaah Bhatia has done a popular song, Kaavaala.

It is also rumored that Nandamuri Balakrishna will join the cast in a guest role.
