Janhvi Kapoor calls out misuse of AI-generated images

Janhvi Kapoor has revealed that she has become a victim of artificial intelligence misuse. With the growing number of AI apps and features on social media, the actress said she has been facing the issue of morphed and altered photos being circulated online.
Known for sharing pictures from her photoshoots on Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor explained that some individuals have been taking her original images and using AI tools to exaggerate her physical features, making the pictures appear sleazy.
These doctored images, she said, are being widely shared, often misleading people into believing they are real.
Speaking at a recent event, Janhvi expressed her disappointment that even reputed media houses have at times fallen for such fake content and published it as genuine. “When AI-generated images can fool people—and even the media—it becomes very difficult for actresses like me,” she said.

She urged people to be cautious about such manipulated images and clarified that she is always mindful of her photoshoots for magazines, brands, or social media. Whatever I put out is my conscious choice, she added.
She pointed out that the AI-generated versions misrepresent her by portraying her in a much more suggestive and inappropriate way than she has ever chosen for herself.

Currently, Janhvi Kapoor is working on Ram Charan’s Peddi, which is in production, while her “Homebound” movie was picked by India for Oscar entry. On the other hand, she is promoting her other Bollywood release, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, as well.
