Kaala premiere show mints just half million dollars
Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ has failed to post big numbers at USA. The final collection report is out. The film that was premiered in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages has collected just $512k, which is too low for a Rajinikanth starrer.
Ram Charan’s recent Telugu movie grossed $728,395 from premiere shows. It was released in one language only. Rajinikanth’s earlier movie ‘Kabaali’ grossed nearly $1.9 million from premiere shows and this ‘Kaala’ raked in mere half a million.
Clearly, the film’s trailers and promotion and director Ranjith’s name has not made the overseas audiences to book the film. They must had been waiting for reviews to come. To become a hit, it now needs to perform on strong note in the coming days. However, the reviews are not encouraging for it.
