‘Bharateeyudu 2’ aka ‘Indian 2’ had stopped its shooting mid-way two years ago. Much before the pandemic began, the film faced budget issues. Producer Lyca Subaskaran and director Shankar had huge differences in the cost of production.

Thus, the film’s shooting was stalled after completing 50 percent of the movie. More than Rs 150 crore was spent on it. Director Shankar moved on and took up Ram Charan’s #RC15.
Everyone thought that the film has completely been shelved. But Kamal Haasan sings a different tune. The legendary actor says he is still hopeful that the film would be revived.
“I have not lost hope on it. I am confident that the shooting will be resumed next year,” Kamal Haasan hoped.
