Keerthy Suresh confirmed for Vijay Deverakonda’s next
Vijay Deverakonda has already begun working on a period drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. While that untitled film is still in its early stages of filming, he is set to launch another project tomorrow.
Vijay Deverakonda and director Ravi Kiran Kola (of “Raja Vaaru Rani Gaar” fame) have teamed up for a rural action drama set in Coastal Andhra. Dil Raju’s SVC banner is bankrolling the film, and the pooja ceremony will be held tomorrow at the production office in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
The interesting update is that the makers have confirmed Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, and she has officially signed the project. This will be her first Telugu film after marriage.
Keerthy Suresh married her long-time boyfriend Antony Thattil last December. Since then, she has been waiting for the right Telugu offer. And now she has taken it up. This is also the first time Vijay Deverakonda and Keerthy Suresh will be paired together onscreen, although they previously worked in “Mahanati.”
In Mahanati, Vijay Deverakonda played a photographer, while Keerthy essayed the role of legendary actress Savitri. They didn’t share scenes together back then, but this time she plays his love interest.
