Koratala's political tweets: promotion for his film?

Director Koratala Siva has become active on social media in all of a sudden. He has been making political statements of late. Few days ago, he asked the Telangana government to set up SIT (Special Investigation Team) on corruption. It was his protest against the SIT’s handling of drugs case pertaining to Tollywood celebrities. While majority of the Tollywood stars refused to talk about this case openly, he responded with a tweet albeit in a sly manner.

Now, he vented his anger on the current political situation. Not specifying any issue in particular, he said that politics have become dirtier. He tweeted, “Politics becoming dirtier and dirtiest. At an all time high. God can’t save it. We can. We only can.”

On surface, it seems he is just expressing his opinions on present political scenario but some also see it as clever promotion of his current movie that he is directing. ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ is the film that he is making with Mahesh Babu. In the film, Mahesh plays a youngster called Bharath who enters into political field due to some circumstances and eventually becomes a Chief Minister.

Is he trying to build up a discussion around this movie? Or is he genuinely expressing his views on politics? If so, why beat around the bush?
