Veera Bhadrudu, the Telugu version of Karuppu starring Suriya, has run into trouble just hours before its theatrical release.
The film was scheduled to hit theaters on Thursday morning (May 14), but advance bookings came to a halt on Wednesday night due to unresolved financial issues.
Amid growing concern among fans, director RJ Balaji expressed hope that the situation would be resolved soon. Sharing an emotional note, he said the team has faced several hurdles throughout the film’s journey and remains optimistic about overcoming this one as well.
“Dearest fans, I don’t have a concrete answer to the current situation. Producers are doing their best to solve the hurdles. This film has always had hurdles, and somehow God has made us sail through all that and here we are after 32 months. This time as well, I have faith, complete faith in him,” he wrote.
The film features Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, with Suriya appearing in a mass action-packed role. Music for the film has been composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
