Ending days of suspense, actor VK Naresh, the outgoing president of Movie Artists Association (MAA), today announced a date for elections. The elections for the new committee of MAA for the period of 2021-2023 will be held on 10th October.
Actors Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu, Jeevitha, Hema, and CVL will contest for the post of MAA president.
Naresh earlier refused to hold the elections citing the COVID-19 second wave as the reason. However, in the recent general body meeting, all actors had demanded early polls.
The two panels headed by Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu will see stiff competition. Chiranjeevi and a large section of heroes are lending support to Prakash Raj. Nandamuri Balakrishna and other sections of actors are rallying behind Manchu Vishnu.
