Superstar Mahesh Babu sought more time to appear before officials of the Enforcement Directorate in a case related to a brand endorsement.
ED officials who are investigating financial irregularities in the Surana group’s Sai Surya developers asked Mahesh Babu to appear before them for questioning on 28th April. Citing prior commitments, Mahesh Babu said he needs more time for his appearance. He requested the officials to set another date.
Mahesh Babu endorsed the brand of Sai Surya Developers, a real estate firm. Hence, ED also wants to check how the payment was made to him by the company and if any money laundering was involved.
Mahesh Babu has been endorsing many corporate brands for many years, but this is the first time that he has had to face questioning from officials about irregularities committed by the brand.
