Mamitha Baiju is aiming to make a strong mark in Telugu cinema after gaining popularity across South India.

The young actress shot to fame with “Dude,” where she starred opposite Pradeep Ranganathan. Even before this, she had built a solid fan base among youth through her Malayalam films.

Mamitha is now part of multiple big-ticket projects, though one of her key films, Jana Nayagan, has run into controversy and is facing delays. The film, starring Vijay, is yet to lock a release date. Mamitha reportedly plays a daughter-like role to Vijay in the film.

Amid this uncertainty, she is placing high hopes on her Telugu-Tamil bilingual “Vishwanath and Sons.” In the film, she plays a lively young woman who falls in love with a 40-plus character portrayed by Suriya, featuring a significant age gap both on-screen and off-screen.

Mamitha believes this family-oriented romantic drama will help her establish a strong foothold in the Telugu market. With Tollywood offering substantial opportunities and remuneration for actresses, she is keen to sign more Telugu projects and expand her career further.
