Manchu Manoj on his relations with dad and career revival

Manchu Manoj

Manchu Manoj celebrated his birthday a day in advance with media persons and interacted with the press in an informal question-and-answer session.

The actor said his career has taken a positive turn after the releases of “Bhairavam” and “Mirai”. Thanking the makers of both films, Manoj stated that the projects helped revive his career. He is currently working on a new film titled “David Reddy”.

Manoj also revealed that his wife, Mounika, is preparing to enter politics and will contest elections soon.

Speaking about his charity initiatives, Manoj said his newly launched trust has already begun its activities and is fully funding the education expenses of five children.

When asked about his strained relationship with his father, veteran actor Mohan Babu, Manoj responded humorously, saying, “You should ask my father. But don’t go towards him with a mike.”

The remark drew laughter as it referenced last year’s controversy in which Mohan Babu allegedly lashed out at media personnel who approached him with cameras and microphones. The fallout between Manoj and his father have been making headlines for a while.

He further added, “I currently have five or six projects in hand, and announcements regarding them will be made this month itself. I want every hero to have continuous releases, and I too plan to do films back-to-back.”
