Films based on mother-son sentiment are common. But a very popular veteran actress playing a mother and another popular star acting as her mother happens rarely. This is why the film “Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi” has generated good buzz.
“Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi” has Vijayashanthi in the role of mother while Kalyan Ram plays her son. In her heyday, Vijayashanthi enjoyed the stardom equal to then-top stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, and Rajinikanth. She gained the tag of Lady Amitabh after the success of her portrayal of an IPS officer named Vyjayanthi in “Karthavyam,” which also earned her the National Award as Best Actress.
As the film is set for release on Friday, both of them have done a special video with the line “Google Most Searched—Mother & Son Edition.”
“Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi” is directed by Pradeep and stars Saiee Manjrekar as the female lead.
