Both male and female actors accept huge advance payments from producers in exchange for the promise of future film roles. Producers, too, look for rising stars and offer them lucrative contracts. Similarly, Mythri Movie Makers, the leading production company in Tollywood, gave Pooja Hegde a fat cheque of advance payment for their film “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” and also for another film.
Pooja Hegde agreed to do two films for this company a long time ago and took large sums of money as a token advance. However, “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is currently on hold. The film, directed by Harish Shankar and starring Pawan Kalyan, has been plagued by issues.
Meanwhile, instead of Pooja Hegde, Harish Shankar cast Sreeleela as the main heroine. So, she will not be part of this project in any role though the film is a three-heroine story.
So, Mythri Movie Makers intends to use Pooja Hegde’s dates for other projects. The producers do not want to waste the money given to her. Pooja Hegde, who does not have a new Telugu film in the works, can readily agree to do a film for the production company right away.
The studio intends to cast her in one of their upcoming films starring a mid-level hero. This is the reason why there have been numerous reports of Pooja Hegde’s new films with couple of mid-range heroes.
