Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has created history. The film made it to the Oscars. MM Keeravani composed “Naatu Naatu” song was nominated for the Best Original song. Composed by Keeravani and written by Chandrabose, the song featured NTR and Ram Charan in the song.
MM Keeravani also won the Golden Globe award for “Naatu Naatu” song.
The nominations for 95th Academy Awards wre announced today. And Rajamouli’s “RRR” created a history.
“RRR” received a great deal of acclaim from Hollywood and the American press.
On March 12, 2023, the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California will play host to the Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars.
“RRR” is a period piece. Featuring NTR as freedom fighter Komaram Bheem and Ram Charan as another freedom warrior Alluri Sita Ramaraju, the film was directed by Rajamouli. It’s a fictional tale about two historical figures. When it was released in March of 2022, ‘RRR’ quickly rose to the top of the box office in the Telugu states to become the highest grossing Telugu film of all time. In America, the film earned $14 million.
Two Indian documentaries nominated
This time, three Indian films are one step away from winning an Oscar. “The Elephant Whisperers” and “All That Breathes” are two other documentary films that have been nominated. “The Elephant Whisperers” was nominated in the documentary short film category, while “All That Breathes” was nominated in the documentary feature film category.
