The failure of ‘Thank You’ has affected Naga Chaitanya badly. The film completely ran on his shoulders. He thought it could be another memorable hit in his career. But it turned out to be one of the biggest disasters in Tollywood.
He received heavy criticism. Samantha’s fans had a field day on social media trolling him mercilessly.
Though Naga Chaitanya had decent successes with ‘Bangarraju’ and ‘Love Story’ recently, they had other factors. ‘Bangarraju’ was a multi-starrer. ‘Love Story’ was director Sekhar Kammula’s film, a big brand, and it also starred Sai Pallavi. On the other hand, ‘Thank You, despite the names of producer Dil Raju and director Vikram Kumar, was his show. So, the failure of this film is hurting him.
He will now have to tread cautiously. Naga Chaitanya recently wrapped his first web series, Dootha, for Amazon. It doesn’t matter whether this web series succeeds or not. Then, he will be teaming up with Tamil director Venkat Prabhu for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.
He is in talks with director Parasuram of ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’.
