“Thandel,” is one of the Telugu cinema industry’s large-scale Pan-Indian undertakings. “Thandel” has been in the works for a while, starring Naga Chaitanya as a fisherman and Sai Pallavi as his sweetheart.
Since its announcement, the film has received a lot of interest. It’s no surprise that Netflix, the global streaming provider, reached an agreement with the producers. According to our sources, Netflix paid a hefty Rs 40 crore for the post-theatrical streaming rights.

“Thandel” is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by GA2 Pictures, with a December 2024 release date.

“Thandel” is Naga Chaitanya’s most expensive film to date. The film is partially set in Pakistan. The plot revolves around a group of fishermen from Andhra Pradesh who accidentally enter Pakistani waters and are imprisoned for crossing maritime borders.
The filmscalls for a lot of visual effects and large sets. As a result, the makers are investing a lot of money and work into making it a visual wonder.
