Netflix sets premiere date for ‘Biker’ and ‘Raakaasa’

Netflix has officially announced the OTT release dates for two Telugu films—Sharwanand’s Biker and Sangeeth Sobhan’s Raakaasa. Interestingly, both films, which hit theaters on April 3, will make their digital debut on the same day.

The streaming giant confirmed that Biker and Raakaasa will begin streaming from May 1, 2026.

Directed by Abhilash Reddy, Biker is billed as India’s first motocross-based film and received praise from critics for its technical ambition. Sharwanand’s intense performance as a professional racer, along with Rajasekhar’s emotional role as his father, stood out and earned appreciation.

Netflix stated, “Watch Biker on May 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, and in Hindi as Sharwa.”

On the other hand, Raakaasa is a horror-comedy produced by Niharika Konidela and directed by Manasa Sharma. The film garnered attention in theaters for its entertaining blend of humor and horror elements.

“Watch Raakaasa on Netflix from May 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam,” the platform announced.
