North America BO: Peddi joins $3 million club

Ram Charan’s “Peddi” has crossed a significant milestone in North America, becoming one of the few Telugu films to gross more than $3 million in the territory.

The sports action drama had collected approximately $2.9 million by the end of its first weekend and officially entered the $3 million club on Tuesday. The film is expected to add further collections as discounted ticket offers and pass programs were enabled across several locations in North America.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, “Peddi” opened to mixed reviews but has managed to sustain its run at the box office. The film’s steady performance has now pushed it into the list of the top-grossing Telugu films in North America, currently occupying the 15th position among all-time Telugu releases in the market.

The next target for the film is “Rangasthalam”, which remains the highest-grossing solo-hero film in Ram Charan’s career in North America with a lifetime gross of around $3.5 million. With “Peddi” already crossing $3 million, industry observers will be watching closely to see whether it can surpass that benchmark in the coming days.

Nevertheless, crossing the $3 million milestone is another notable achievement for “Peddi”, which continues to attract audiences despite facing mixed word-of-mouth.
