There has been considerable speculation surrounding “Devara 2,” the sequel to the “Devara” franchise, especially as NTR is becoming increasingly busy with other major projects. He is currently filming “Dragon” with director Prashanth Neel, which is expected to wrap by the summer of 2026.
Additionally, NTR recently signed a mythological film with Trivikram Srinivas, set to go on floors in the latter half of 2026. These commitments led many to believe that “Devara 2” might have been shelved quietly.
However, NTR put those rumors to rest today while wishing director Koratala Siva a happy birthday.
He subtly confirmed the sequel by writing: “Happy Birthday Siva… A filmmaker who speaks through silence and strength. Wishing you many more stories that inspire and moments that live on with us. Can’t wait 2 ride the wave once again.”
The first installment, Devara, was a commercial success and was also released in Japan. However, despite high expectations, the film didn’t create much of an impact in Bollywood. In contrast, the Telugu version performed well at the box office.
