NTR’s pilgrimage tour is a strategic move

It’s no secret that NTR and his uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna have had strained relations for a long time. NTR and his elder brother Kalyan Ram began to distance themselves from the Nandamuri Balakrishna-Nara Chandrababu Naidu family after numerous incidents and humiliations.

NTR, who campaigned for the Telugu Desam Party 15 years ago, has since distanced himself from politics and has never openly endorsed Naidu or his party. As a result, some ardent TDP members and Balakrishna supporters have begun to target NTR.

Still, many Nandamuri supporters expected NTR and Kalyan Ram to join Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 50th acting festivities and reconcile their families’ issues. But it did not happen.

NTR has been visiting temples and praying for the past three days, accompanied by his wife Lakshmi Pranathi and mother Shalini. He stated that he is on a pilgrimage visit to fulfill her mother’s dream, as she was born and raised in South Karnataka. Renowned Kannada directors Rishab Shetty and Prashanth Neel accompanied NTR on a visit to several temples around the Udipi region.

However, one could argue that NTR strategically timed his pilgrimage visit. He stayed away from Hyderabad for Balakrishna’s 50-year acting career ceremony and completely missed it.
