OG to participate in Vijayawada Utsav

Pawan Kalyan’s “OG” continues to create unprecedented buzz. The film has already entered record books by becoming the first Indian movie to cross the $1 million mark in North America for premiere pre-sales, a good 20 days ahead of release.

The advance sales are now inching towards the $2 million milestone.

Meanwhile, the makers are gearing up for promotional events. The latest talk is that the celebrations will take place in Vijayawada, coinciding with the city’s ‘Disarm’ festivities. Vijayawada is preparing for an elaborate 11-day cultural carnival, Vijayawada Utsav, starting September 22. Modeled on the lines of Mysore Dasara, this festival showcases the region’s rich heritage and vibrancy.

As Pawan Kalyan is the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, the team is expected to align OG’s promotions with the Utsav. However, details of the event remain under wraps for now.

Directed by Sujeeth, OG features Pawan Kalyan in the role of a gangster. The film is scheduled for release on September 25, 2025.
