Okkadu, Kannappa, HanuMan 3D: Re-releases dominate June 26 weekend

With the release of Akhil Akkineni’s “Lenin” postponed from June 26 to July 10, the end-of-the-month slot has opened up, leaving very little competition for Samantha’s “Maa Inti Bangaaram,” which remains the only notable latest release in theaters.
As a result, several re-releases are set to capitalize on the vacant weekend. Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster “Okkadu” is returning to theaters on June 26, while Manchu Vishnu’s “Kannappa” is also getting another theatrical outing after its earlier release.
Adding to the list is “Hanu-Man,” which is making a comeback in 3D format. Actor Teja Sajja has been actively promoting the re-release, stating that films of this scale deserve a 3D theatrical experience. The movie originally hit theaters just two years ago and became a major success.
Raj Tarun’s “Cinema Choopista Maava” is also joining the re-release bandwagon, giving audiences another chance to watch the popular entertainer on the big screen.
Overall, June 26 is shaping up to be a weekend dominated by re-releases, with multiple Telugu films from different eras returning to theaters instead of fresh major releases.
