One down, two in line for Trisha Krishnan

Trisha Krishnan, popularly known as Trisha, is an actress who has redefined stardom for female actors in their forties, particularly in South Indian cinema, where pretty young girls receive more attention and offers. Despite crossing prime age for a conventional cinema star, she won huge blockbusters with films like “Ponniyan Selvan” and grabbed up offers on numerous projects.

However, she experienced her first flop in 2025. In February, she released “Vidaamuyarchi” (Pattudala in Telugu), which bombed at the box office. She played opposite superstar Ajith Kumar, but the film was a disaster and drew much criticism. She played a married woman having an extramarital affair. She has several films scheduled for this year.

Two more major releases planned

However, she has great expectations for her next two major releases this year. She co-stars with megastar Chiranjeevi in the socio-fantasy film “Vishwambhara”. After the summer holiday season, it will hit the theaters and the shooting is nearing completion.

On the other side, she has concluded her filming for Mani Ratnam’s ambitious action film opposite Kamal Haasan. The film is titled “Thug Life” and is slated to be released in June 2025.

The makers plan to release both of these high-profile productions in five languages across the country. So, she expects enormous success with these pan-Indian films.
