Oscars 2026: ‘One Battle After Another’ wins Best Picture

Leonardo DiCaprio’s political thriller “One Battle After Another” emerged as the biggest winner at the 98th Academy Awards held on Sunday night. The film clinched six Oscars, including the prestigious Best Picture award.

Director Paul Thomas Anderson also took home the Best Director Oscar for the film, marking a major triumph for the critically acclaimed political drama.

Meanwhile, “Sinners” secured four Academy Awards. Michael B. Jordan won the Best Actor award for his powerful performance in the film, while its director Ryan Coogler received the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

Jessie Buckley was honored with the Best Actress award for her emotionally intense portrayal of a grieving mother in “Hamnet”.

In the supporting categories, Sean Penn won Best Supporting Actor for his role in “One Battle After Another”, while Amy Madigan received the Best Supporting Actress award for “Weapons”.
