Pawan Kalyan stated in a recent interview that he considers Tamil cinema close to his heart because he has many friends in the industry. Since he also grew up in Chennai during his teenage years, he said that the Tamil film industry is very dear.
When asked about his favorite directors, he stated that Mani Ratnam is his favorite director.
Pawan Kalyan also mentioned that he began to appreciate Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director of “Leo” and “Vikram,” among the new generation of filmmakers.
“I like Yogi, the Yogi Babu. His comedy is terrific. I found his performance in that film that deals with village elections great,” he added.
He was referring to the “Mandela” movie that Yogi Babu starred in.
