Director Buchi Babu Sana has shared exciting details about “Peddi,” offering a deeper look into Ram Charan’s intense character in the film.
According to the director, Ram Charan plays a sportsman with a strong emotional and physical connection to the gada (mace), undergoing rigorous training with the weapon. Wrestling forms a core part of the narrative, with raw, mud-filled fight sequences designed to bring authenticity and rooted action to the screen. However, the exact sport his character masters has been kept under wraps, to be revealed in theaters.
The film has already generated massive buzz, especially after the makers unveiled a special glimpse and posters on Ram Charan’s birthday. The visuals showcased him in a never-seen-before pahelwan-inspired avatar, surprising fans and setting social media on fire. The glimpse quickly began trending at No.1 across India, clocking huge viewership.
Ram Charan’s transformation is being widely discussed. His powerful physique, broad shoulders, and heavily conditioned frame reflect the discipline of a traditional akhada warrior, hinting at high-octane action sequences.
Mounted on a grand scale, “Peddi” is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. The film is set for release on April 30, 2026 release. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead.
