Popular distributor Nellore Hari dies of cardiac arrest

Popular film distributor Gujjalapudi Hari Kumar, widely known as Nellore Hari, passed away on Sunday morning following a cardiac arrest in Hyderabad. He was 43.
Hari was one of the most prominent distributors in South Andhra Pradesh and headed Hari Pictures and N Cinemas. Over the years, he distributed several successful films, including “Sankranthiki Vasthunnam,” “Race Gurram,” and “Maharshi.” He was also associated as a co-producer on projects like “Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.”
The news of his sudden demise has shocked the Telugu film industry. Several celebrities, including Nagarjuna Akkineni and Anil Ravipudi, paid heartfelt tributes and described his death as a major loss to the industry.
Hari was known to be a devoted fan of Nagarjuna Akkineni, and the actor shared an emotional note mourning his passing.
“Deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of Gujjalapudi Hari Kumar. Our association goes back over 25 years. A pillar of support for the Akkineni family, his presence will be irreplaceable in our lives. The Telugu film industry has lost a fine distributor and a wonderful soul. May God give strength to his loved ones in these dark hours,” Nagarjuna wrote.
