The final phase of filming for “Kalki 2898 AD” is underway. The sci-fi drama, starring Prabhas as the hero, is currently filming on a special set in Ramoji Film City. Prabhas has recently joined the shoot.
The team also took to social media to confirm his participation, posting a gif of Prabhas tapping his foot to a musical number.
“Kalki 2898 AD” is a dystopian thriller directed by Nag Ashwin and set in the year 2898 AD. It has an ensemble cast that includes Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Santosh Narayan is composing the music.
With this current schedule, the film’s shooting will be completed except for one song. The final song, a duet, will be filmed in a foreign country in March starring Prabhas and Disha Patani.
The filmmakers reiterated that the film will be released in theaters on May 9, 2024.
