Prabhas puts rumors to rest, prioritizes existing film lineup

Speculation surrounding Prabhas’s future lineup refuses to die down. Almost every month, reports emerge claiming that a new director has met the star, narrated a script, and secured his approval.
In recent months alone, rumors have linked Prabhas with filmmakers such as Prasanth Varma, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Aditya Dhar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Nelson Dilipkumar, with claims that collaborations are already in the pipeline. However, sources close to the actor tell us that these reports are premature. Prabhas has not committed to any new project beyond the films he is already working on.
At present, the star is busy with three major films, each at a different stage of production. His immediate priority is Hanu Raghavapudi’s “Fauji”, which is in the final phase of shooting and is expected to hit theaters in December this year. Prabhas is focused on wrapping up the remaining portions of the film first.
Alongside “Fauji”, he is also shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Spirit”. As his landmark 25th film, “Spirit” holds special significance for Prabhas, and he is fully committed to bringing Vanga’s vision to life. The film is expected to release in the first half of 2027.
After completing these commitments, Prabhas will devote his attention to “Kalki 2”. While portions of the sequel involving other actors may begin later this year, Prabhas is expected to join the shoot only after March 2027, with the film occupying a significant part of his schedule thereafter.
Salaar 2, sequel to Salaar, is also in the pipeline.
Given this packed lineup, the actor is unlikely to take up any new film until the latter half of 2027. As of now, all speculation about fresh signings remains just that—speculation. Prabhas’s sole focus is on completing the projects he has already committed to.
