The second wave of COVID-19 has altered all the plans of Bollywood and Tollywood filmmakers. As the footfalls at the theaters in many states remain abysmally low, filmmakers are forced to postpone their films. No wonder that the makers of ‘Salaar’ have also changed the release date.
Prabhas had planned to release ‘Radhe Shyam’ in 2021, and ‘Salaar’ and ‘Adipurush’ in 2022. But now, ‘Radhe Shyam’ has been pushed to Sankranthi 2022. Likewise, ‘Salaar’ will be moved to the second half of the year.
On the other hand, ‘Adipurush’, directed by Om Raut, which was slated to hit the screens in August 2022 will go for a change in the release date. Buzz is that the film will only hit the screens in 2023.
Prabhas reportedly informed all his directors about the change of plans. Directors Prashanth Neel and Om Raut will continue their shooting schedules of ‘Salaar’ and ‘Adipurush’ respectively as per the release plans.
Prabhas will begin working on ‘Project K’, being directed by Nag Ashwin’ after completing the above said three films.
