Veteran producer RB Choudary, founder of Super Good Films, has passed away following a car accident in Udaipur on Tuesday.

Choudary, who produced numerous blockbusters in both Tamil and Telugu cinema, began his career in the Tamil film industry before expanding into Telugu films. Though originally from Rajasthan, he became a prominent name in South Indian cinema over the decades.

He played a key role in shaping the careers of several filmmakers, backing early successes of directors like K. S. Ravikumar, Vikraman, and N. Lingusamy.

His first major Telugu production was “Suswagatham”, starring Pawan Kalyan. He went on to produce several successful films including “Suryavamsam” and “Raja” with Venkatesh, as well as “Nuvvu Vasthavani”, “Simha Rasi”, and “Snehamente Idera”.

Choudary was also known for encouraging new talent, particularly in Tamil cinema. He is survived by his family, including his son Jiiva, a popular actor in the Tamil film industry.
