Puri's next Mehbooba with son Akash
Director Puri Jagannadh celebrates his birthday today. On this occasion, Puri has unveiled the first poster of his new film titled ‘Mehbooba’. The film marks the debut of his son Akash as the main male lead, though the youngster played as a teenage hero earlier in ‘Andhra Pori’.
Interestingly, the film is set in the backdrop of 1971 Indo – Pak war. A romantic story between a young boy and young girl in the turbulent times of war. The movie introduces Neha Shetty as heroine. Regular shoot commences from October in Himachal Pradesh and later the shoot will be shifted to Punjab and Rajasthan.
Puri Jagannadh says: “After finishing Mehbooba script, I realized that I am doing a highly intense and passionate love story for the first time ever Which is completely out of my repertoire of ideas. It is a soulful love story in the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak war.” Sandeep Chowtha is providing the music. Puri Jagannadh himself is producing it on his banner Touring Talkies.
