Until recently, it was assumed that “Pushpa 2” would be released in March 2022. However, in a surprising turn of events, the makers have announced that it will be released on August 15, 2024. This caught everyone in the film industry off guard.
Given the patriotic theme of both films, director Shankar, who is currently filming two major projects at the same time – “Indian 2” and “Game Changer,” was considering releasing one of them on Independence Day 2024. Now, “Pushpa 2,” a pan-Indian project with a set release date, has derailed Shankar’s plans.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s Bollywood film “Singham Again” will be released on Independence Day 2024. As a result, finding enough theaters for another big movie in India during that time period will be impossible.
“Game Changer” will most likely not be released for Independence Day 2024. We’ll have to wait and see if Shankar will schedule “Indian 2” at that time.
Allu Arjun’s announcement has spoiled plans of other movies as well. Meanwhile, “Pushpa 2” filming is underway in Hyderabad. Directed by Sukumar, the biggie stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
