‘Pushpa 3’ will happen, assures director Sukumar

The ‘Pushpa’ franchise will not end with the second installment. Director Sukumar has once again confirmed that Pushpa 3 will definitely happen, since the story remains unfinished after the climax of Pushpa 2.

At the SIIMA Awards held in Dubai last night, Sukumar was asked whether a third part is in the works. He promptly replied, “Yes, it will happen.”

‘Pushpa 2’ not only emerged as the all-time second highest-grossing Indian film after ‘Dangal,’ but also surpassed ‘Baahubali 2’ in worldwide collections. The film cemented Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s place in the top league of Indian cinema.

At present, Allu Arjun is busy with Atlee’s sci-fi extravaganza, while Sukumar is preparing to team up with Ram Charan next year. ‘Pushpa 3’ will take shape once both complete their current commitments.

Buzz is that the third installment will chronicle the protagonist’s journey after he earns his surname.
