Rajamouli receives the Best Director award from NYFCC

Our top Telugu director Rajamouli took home the Best Director trophy for his work on the film “RRR” at today’s New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC) awards ceremony. The award was presented to him at a gala in New York.

“It means a lot to me that you’ve given me this award. Thank you so much. Thanks to you, a lot of people have heard about our little film from the south of India,” he said.

Rajamouli also expressed his delight at the massive reception the RRR pre-interval sequence received in the United States. On January 11 in Los Angeles, the Golden Globes will be held. Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and NTR will all be there. Nominated for Best Foreign Film and Best Original Song (“Naatu Naatu”), “RRR” has a total of two nominations.
