After keeping mum on the news reports in connection with the drugs case, Rakul Preet Singh today filed a petition in Delhi High Court against unsubstantiated media reports about her. She urged the court to ask the media outlets to follow the I&B Ministry guidelines while reporting.

A news channel reported that Rhea Chakraborty named Rakul during the interrogation by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Responding to her petition, Delhi High Court directed the Center and Prasar Bharati to consider her request. The court also hoped that media houses and TV channels would show restraint and abide by the Program Code.
Rakul Preet Singh canceled her shoot of her current Telugu film being directed by Krish to leave for the Delhi to file the petition.
