Ram Charan undergoes intense 5-month training for Peddi

Ram Charan has revealed the intense effort he put into transforming for a wrestler’s role in his upcoming film “Peddi.”
In a recent interview with Esquire India, the actor shared that he trained rigorously for nearly five months under a national-level wrestling coach to bring authenticity to the role. Interestingly, the same coach had earlier worked on Bollywood films like Sultan and Dangal, both praised for their realistic depiction of wrestling.
Ram Charan admitted that the training pushed him to his physical limits.
Recalling the tough sessions, he said that at one point he even told his coach, “Sir, I am not preparing for wrestling nationals,” underlining the intensity of the regimen.
However, the effort seems to have paid off, with the actor confident that the transformation will stand out on screen. In “Peddi,” Ram Charan plays a multi-sport athlete, with wrestling forming a crucial part of the narrative.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has been postponed, and a new release date is yet to be announced.
