Rana’s blatant lies about Baahubali’s loan

Rana Naidu

Rana Daggubati recently stated that Rajamouli obtained a Rs 400 crore loan for the two parts of “Baahubali” and completed them. He claimed Rajamouli borrowed such large sums from private financiers. The Bollywood media spread this obvious lie.

Because only South Indian films are doing well at the box office in India, the north Indian media is now relying on all kinds of news and gossip about the South Indian film industry.

During an interaction at a media conclave, Rana told a big lie about Rajamouli taking a huge loan of Rs 400 crore.

The budget for the first installment of “Baahubali” was 150 crore, which was significantly higher than the Telugu film market at the time. Rajamouli used Ramoji Rao’s financial assistance and studio facilities for this film. Because the first installment was a massive blockbuster, the team borrowed money from Matrix Prasad for the second installment for abysmally low interest.

The total budget for both parts is around Rs 350 crore. But Rana boasted that Rajamouli received Rs 350 crore. This is how industry folks brag about budgets and hype, and the gullible Bollywood media writes all these PR-related articles.
