‘Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam’, presented by Thabitha Sukumar, wife of creative genius Sukumar, is set to release on August 23rd. Mythri Movie Release are releasing it grandly.
Rao Ramesh stars as the protagonist in this film directed by Laxman Karya. Produced by Bujji Rayudu Pentyala and Mohan Karya under PBR Cinemas and Lokamaatre Cinematics it stars Indraja beside Rao, while Ankith Koyya and Ramya play another couple.
A pre-release event was held in Hyderabad yesterday night with Icon star Allu Arjun as the chief guest, and Sukumar as the special guest. The first ticket was presented to Allu Arjun at the event. When asked by Suma how much he would pay for the big ticket, Allu Arjun replied, “For a Sukumar film, I would pay even a crore rupees.”
Meanwhile, Icon Star Allu Arjun went on to say, “After watching ‘Gamyam,’ I asked the director Krish who played the Naxalite character. He told me it was Rao Gopal Rao’s son. I didn’t know that until then. My grandfather and Rao Gopal Rao spent many evenings at our house. Since then, Rao Ramesh’s career graph has been impressive. He has reached this level through hard work and dedication. Telugu cinema is lucky to have such a talented artist. I want this movie to be successful and more such stories to come.”
Sukumar said, “My wife is presenting a film for the first time. I have watched ‘Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam’ in a home theater and enjoyed it very much. If actors like Rao Ramesh play hero roles, many stories will emerge. By the time the climax of ‘Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam’ arrived, I had tears in my eyes. Rao Ramesh nailed his part. Director Laxman Karya performed his task brilliantly. I hope the film becomes a big hit.”
