Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty starrer ‘Uppena’ and Jagapathi Babu starrer ‘Father Chitti Umaa Kaarthik’ (FCUK) have come to the theaters today. The two films are to be screened with 100 percent seating capacity, as the state governments have lifted the COVID-19 restrictions.
‘Uppena’ has registered a good booking. The film has been creating great buzz for various reasons with Devi Sri Prasad’s songs topping the charts for months. The young couple’s chemistry and newcomer Krithi Shetty’s beauty seem to have attracted the gen-next audiences. Plus, the movie has the stamp of ‘Sukumar Writings’.
The production house Mythri Movie Makers left no stone unturned in promoting it aggressively. The name of Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, who has already gained a good following in Telugu states, is another plus point. Altogether, ‘Uppena’ has the potential to create a storm at the box-office if the film receives good reviews and reports from the paying public on the first day.
‘Father Chitti Umaa Karthi’ has also managed to gain the attention of the filmgoers with its unique promotional strategy. The short form of the title is the obvious reason. The promos were pleasant. The production house Sri Ranjith Movies is known for presenting quality movies.
