The makers of ‘RRR’ have already made a deal with a leading entertainment channel for satellite rights and an international OTT platform for digital rights for a record price for any Indian film. The combined price for all languages put together is in the range of Rs 260 Crore.
The film is being directed by Rajamouli and produced by DVV Danayya.
But the makers are yet to officially seal the deal. They have agreed on the price long back.
The latest rumor in Film Nagar is that the makers are expecting more money from digital and satellite rights as some new players are evincing interest.
We have to wait and see if the makers go with the original deal or seal the deal for more price.
‘RRR’ featuring NTR and Ram Charan as the lead heroes is progressing at a brisk pace. Scheduled to hit the screens on October 13, ‘RRR’ has already closed its overseas theatrical business.
Rajamouli is making the film with a reported budget of Rs 350 crore.
