Looks like Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ will be released in more than a dozen languages. The makers have confirmed the same.
Rajamouli’s films are generally released in five Indian languages (Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam). Lately, his films also have gained popularity in Japan. “Baahubali” films were also dubbed into Japanese and Chinese languages. The Japanese version reportedly made big money.
His upcoming mega movie ‘RRR’ will be released in about seven foreign languages – English, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish, Spanish (Netflix bought the streaming rights for these versions), Japanese, and Chinese.
The streaming rights of South Indian versions went to Zee5 and the group also bought Hindi satellite rights. While the satellite rights of South Indian versions are with Disney’s Star.
‘RRR’ starring NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles is a patriotic period drama. DVV Danayya is producing it.
