Rukmini Vasanth, who rose to national prominence after the massive success of “Kantara: Chapter 1,” has quickly become a sought-after name for pan-Indian projects. However, her two major upcoming films are now facing unexpected delays.
Rukmini has already completed her portions for Kannada superstar Yash’s ambitious film “Toxic.” The film was earlier slated for a March 19 release, but strong buzz suggests that the makers are likely to postpone it, with producer-actor Yash expected to announce a new date soon.
At the same time, Rukmini has also signed NTR’s “Dragon,” directed by Prashanth Neel. Although her casting is yet to be officially announced, sources confirm that she is part of the project. Currently, Prashanth Neel is filming major sequences featuring NTR alone, and there is ample time before Rukmini joins the shoot.
Originally planned for a June 2026 release, “Dragon” has now reportedly been pushed to late December 2026 or early 2027, extending the wait for the much-anticipated collaboration.
