RX100 director's tweet raises speculations
Ajay Bhupati shot to fame with ‘RX100’ that starred Kartikeya and Paayal Rajput. The director’s’ latest has created a mini storm on the internet. He just tweeted a two-word phrase – ‘Cheap Star’ and nothing else. Who is he attacking and who is that cheap star?
During the last 14 months, Kartikeya had finished three films – ‘Guna 369’, ‘Hippi’ and Nani’s Gang Leader’ and actress Paayal Rajput bagged three films that include Venkatesh’s ‘Venky Mama’. But the movie’s director could not able to convince any star to take his next movie to the sets. He has approached Naga Chaitanya, Ram, and Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas but none of them materialized for various reasons. Finally, he met Ravi Teja and got his nod. Once Ravi Teja had agreed to act in his film ‘Maha Samudram’, the director roped in actor Siddharth for an important role and convinced Aditi Rao to sign it. But for reasons known to him, Ravi Teja has pulled out this project leaving the director in the lurch.
The project ‘Maha Samudram’ with Ravi Teja has officially been stalled. In this backdrop, his tweet of ‘Cheap Star’ is being seen as a veiled attack against the ‘Mass Maharaja’. Or he was referring to someone else altogether.
Ravi Teja and Ajay Bhupati both belong to the same camp – Ram Gopal Varma’s and hail from the same region Bheemavaram.
