Sai Pallavi trolled for Hindi struggles before ‘Ramayana’

Sai Pallavi

Sai Pallavi is facing online criticism after a recent promotional event for her upcoming Hindi film Ek Din, where she admitted struggling to speak the language fluently.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Sai Pallavi has built a strong career across South Indian cinema, primarily in Tamil and Telugu films. While she is fluent in Tamil and speaks Telugu comfortably, Hindi remains a work in progress for the actress.

At the event, she openly apologized for her limited Hindi, adding that she is actively learning and improving. However, clips from the interaction quickly went viral, triggering mixed reactions online.
Some social media users criticized her language skills, especially considering her role in the upcoming epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In the film, Sai Pallavi plays Sita alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama.

A section of users questioned the casting choice, arguing that a Hindi-language adaptation of Ramayana should feature actors fluent in Hindi. This criticism has also extended to director Nitesh Tiwari.

However, many fans have come to Sai Pallavi’s defense, pointing out that actors often dub their lines during post-production, ensuring linguistic accuracy regardless of their spoken fluency during filming.
With Ek Din marking her Bollywood debut and Ramayana being one of India’s most ambitious cinematic projects, Sai Pallavi’s journey into Hindi cinema is drawing significant attention.
