Salman Khan takes a satirical dig at AR Murugadoss

Director AR Murugadoss was once a dominant force in South Indian cinema, delivering blockbusters like Ghajini, Stalin, Thuppaki, and Kaththi. He even helmed the Hindi remake of Ghajini starring Aamir Khan, which became a massive hit. However, in recent years, his success streak has declined, with several flops to his name.
Despite this slump, Bollywood star Salman Khan placed his trust in Murugadoss and collaborated with him on Sikandar, featuring Rashmika Mandanna alongside Salman. Unfortunately, the film failed spectacularly at the box office.
Following its failure, Murugadoss hinted in interviews that communication gaps on set and Salman Khan’s late arrivals played a role in the film’s outcome. Salman remained silent at the time.
However, during a recent TV show, when a contestant mentioned Sikandar, Salman responded with sarcasm. He joked that the film flopped because of his late arrivals, mimicking Murugadoss’s earlier claims. He further added, “After that, Murugadoss made Madhraasi in Tamil. The lead actor arrived on time and spoke in his own mother tongue, and yet the film still flopped.”
With this subtle punch, Salman mockingly dismissed the director’s excuses, implying that punctuality wasn’t the real issue but it was Murugadoss’s failing form.
